To extend knowledge of students of grade 2, an educational walk around the neighbourhood was recently organized by Presidium, Palam Vihar. In this visit, they received hands-on experience on how petrol pumps, malls, schools, hospitals, police stations and markets work and got informed about how community helpers, namely shopkeepers, vendors, doctors, nurses, and policemen are significant for the proper and smooth functioning of our society. The community helpers showed how their unique equipment work and demonstrated their usage. Students were made aware of different emergency numbers that can be dialed in case of crisis. Overall, it was a fun-filled and educational experience, which the children associated with their immediate environment.
