Ambedkar Jayanti or Bhim Jayanti is an annual festival observed on 14 April to commemorate the memory of B. R. Ambedkar. It marks the birthday of Babasaheb Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, an Indian politician,
a social rights activist and an economist, who played an important role in the formation of the Indian
constitution. As a proponent for widespread human rights in India, Ambedkar sought to eliminate ndia’s
caste system and eventually became the first law minister of India. Making the young learners aware
about the life of this renowned dignitary, a special assembly was organised by students of grade 5.
