Learning about the world of fruits and vegetables has always turned into a celebration at Presidium and yet again the toddlers of celebrated Jackfruit day on 4th July ‘18 wherein the teachers raised awareness about this incredible fruit and talked about the amazing changes it can make to our world. The students enjoyed a video that taught them a few new things about the sweet, delicious and exotic fruit. They got to know about the health benefits and sang rhymes to make jackfruit their friend. The celebration concluded with excitement in the eyes of the Presidians after learning about the goodness of jackfruit.

Presidium indeed follows the concept of experiential  learning where the child not only has the theoretical knowledge but also the practical based knowledge learning. The believe and focus of theme based learning was well executed through a recently conducted teachers’ training session. This thoughtful session taught the teachers about learning as a process, holistic development, and the integration of subjects and ‘learning by doing’ with creativity. It also strengthened among the teachers, Presidium's approach to ‘education for life’. Another insightful workshop was also conducted on ‘Motivation’ for teachers to motivate the students in the positive direction. With a fresh breath of confidence and new teaching techniques learnt, the teachers indeed had a fruitful day.

A declamation speech is the term used to describe the re-giving of an important or famous speech. It could be a political, graduation or commencement speech, a eulogy, or a sermon. The speaker re-interprets the original, reproducing its power afresh. To enhance the public speaking skills & to let the Presidians experience the power of masterfully crafted language, a declamation competition was recently organised. The students showcased unmatched oratory skills and delivered wonderfully on the respective topics. Presidium takes this type of education as an integral part of academics to create leaders of tomorrow.

World Asthma Day is a big event celebrated all over the world by the people to increase the awareness among people worldwide about the precautions and preventions of asthma. World Asthma Day celebration began in the year 1998 by  GINA(Global Initiative for Asthma) in more than 35 countries after its first “World Asthma Meeting” in the Barcelona, Spain. Our Presidians also conducted an assembly on World Asthma Day to enlighten all the students on the causes and precautions of asthma. The assembly culminated with a promise to preserve the environment for a healthy and peaceful lifestyle.

Rhymes can prove to be an instrumental stepping stone for young children to develop their verbal skills and boost their confidence!

Keeping this in mind, an 'Intra-class Rhyme Recitation Competition' was organized by the Storytellers, academy of mass communication for our little students at Presidium, Palam Vihar. The students showcased a great deal of confidence while reciting some of the most adorable rhymes. The addition of props to enhance their performance was simply like icing on the cake. Presidium always encourages active involvement of its students who work hard to recognise their potential and brush their talents.
